ISHR Member mail: the 2025 research grant submission form is open

Dear ISHR Member:

As you may know, ISHR funds six research grants annually to support scholars engaged in advanced research related to the theory and practice of rhetoric across all periods and languages and the relationship of rhetoric to poetics, literary theory and criticism, philosophy, politics, religion, law, and other aspects of the socio-cultural context. (Grants may not be used for research designed to further pedagogy in rhetorical speaking and writing.)

We are now calling for applicants for this year’s grants. The application deadline is 1 March 2025. To encourage our early-career membership, ISHR will seek to award at least one of the grants to a promising graduate student or post-doc.

Further information on how to apply can be found on the ISHR website. Tech questions should be directed to the infrastructuralists. Questions pertaining to other aspects of your application should be directed to chair of the Grants committee, Prof. Christos Kremmydas.
