Greg Clark

GREG CLARK NAMED RSA PRESIDENT-ELECT

On the recommendation of the Nominating Committee, the RSA Board of Directors has elected Gregory Clark, Professor of English and Associate Dean of Humanities at Brigham Young University, as the Society’s president-elect designate.  He will become president-elect on January 1, 2014, with responsibility for planning the 2016 conference in Atlanta.  He will assume the presidency on January 1, 2016 for a two-year term.

Greg Clark is no stranger to RSA leadership, having served from 2008 to 2012 as executive director and from 1999 to 2007 as editor of Rhetoric Society Quarterly.  He is thoroughly familiar with the opportunities and challenges facing the Society and with the needs of its membership.  He was unanimously chosen for the position of president-elect by the RSA Board at its meeting during the CCCC meeting in Las Vegas.

The Nominating Committee that recommended Professor Clark consisted of Diane Davis, Kirt Wilson, and David Zarefsky (chair).
