RSA Fellows Donate to the RSA Endowment Funds in Honor of Barbara Warnick
The RSA Fellows are pleased to announce their collective contribution of $2750 to the RSA endowment funds in honor of Barbara Warnick, RSA Fellow (class of 2010).
In 2006 Barbara joined the University of Pittsburgh Department of Communication where she served a term as chair eventually retiring in 2012. She was previously in the Department of Communication at the University of Washington from 1980 until 2006 and served a term as chair. Barbara was Editor of the Quarterly Journal of Speech, 1996–1998, and is the author of several books, including The Sixth Canon (University of South Carolina Press, 1993), Critical Literacy in a Digital Era (Lawrence Erlbaum, 2002), and Rhetoric Online (Peter Lang, 2007, 2012). She also served on RSA’s Board of Directors, 2007–2009.
Barbara is currently suffering from dementia. The University of Washington Department of Communication has posted a tribute page to her career.
