Please Vote in Special Election for Non-Tenure Track Board Member
Dear RSA Members,
We have been made aware that in the email sent yesterday, the link to the candidate statements is not working for some people (although it is working via the link in the ballot). Here is a corrected link to the candidate statements.
Earlier this year, you approved a change to the RSA by-laws that added two new Non-Tenure Track (NTT) seats to the board, raising the total number of seats from 10 to 12. The by-laws ballot stated that if the by-laws change were to be approved, then the first spot would be filled in 2023 for the remainder of the term that ends in 2026. (The other position will be elected in 2024 for the term ending in 2028.) This Special Election is to add the first NTT board member to begin service immediately through June 30, 2026.
Please take a moment today to vote in this Special Election. The Board of Directors are your representatives to shape the future of the organization within its mission to support and advance the work of people who study rhetoric in a variety of disciplinary contexts. Your voice matters!
As per by-laws Section 7.02, RSA elections are for paired contests. The election period runs from July 10 to 11:59 pm Eastern time August 10, 2023.
You can review the biographical paragraphs for the ballot submitted by the candidates here.
You will need to be logged into the MEMBERS area of the website before you can access the ballot
