The Rhetoric Society of America (RSA), a growing, dynamic, and interdisciplinary organization that embraces and serves the multiple traditions of scholarship in rhetoric, seeks applicants for the position of Executive Director. This is an academic volunteer position with a renewable three-year fixed-term appointment. The anticipated starting date is August 2008. The Executive Director performs the duties of secretary and treasurer; is responsible for all aspects of intellectual content associated with the business of RSA, oversees RSA's organizational communication (e.g., in Society newsletters and at the Society's web site), and administers RSA's affairs under the supervision of the Board of Directors. There is outsource support for clerical and accounting functions associated with the position. Review of applicants will begin March 15, 2007 and continue until the position is filled.
