ISHR 2025 Conference Information and Updates
Time is flying, and before we know it, we’ll be gathering in Copenhagen for the Twenty-Fifth Biennial Conference of the International Society for the History of Rhetoric (ISHR) at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH), July 22–25, 2025. At the moment, more than 250 attendees have registered.

ISHR announces the appointment of Dr. Michele Kennerly as editor-elect of ISHR’s journal, Rhetorica
ISHR announces the appointment of Dr. Michele Kennerly as editor-elect of ISHR’s journal, Rhetorica. She will assume the editorship on 1 January 2026. Kennerly is Associate Professor of Communication Arts and Sciences and of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies at The Pennsylvania State University in the USA.
